Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into between you and Altva Holdings LLC d/b/a Total Vet ("Total Vet," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Total Vet website at www.totalvet.org and the mobile veterinary services we provide ("Services"). By using the website or booking a visit, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use our Services. By booking a visit or providing your information, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to make decisions about the pet receiving care.

2. Description of services

Total Vet provides in-home, mobile veterinary care including wellness exams, vaccinations, sick visits, diagnostics, telehealth, and end-of-life services within Miami-Dade County. Services are provided by licensed veterinary professionals subject to applicable Florida law and professional standards. These Terms do not replace any consent forms, treatment plans, or veterinarian-client-patient relationship documentation signed at your visit.

3. Booking, cancellations, and payment

• Booking: appointments may be requested by phone, SMS, or our website. An appointment is confirmed only when we send you a confirmation.
• Cancellations: we require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may be charged a fee equal to the travel charge.
• Payment: payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay, and exact cash. Pricing is described on our home page; additional vaccines, lab work, and medications are quoted before they are administered.
• Insurance: we do not bill pet insurance directly but we will provide an itemized invoice you can submit for reimbursement.

4. Emergencies

Total Vet is not a 24/7 emergency service. For life-threatening emergencies (such as trouble breathing, major trauma, or toxin ingestion), go immediately to the nearest 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital.

5. SMS / text messaging terms

By providing your mobile number to Total Vet (through our website, booking form, in person, or by texting us), you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from Total Vet at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

5.1 Program details

• Program name: Total Vet Appointment Updates.
• Sender (brand): Altva Holdings LLC d/b/a Total Vet, Miami, Florida.
• Message types: appointment confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, follow-up care instructions, lab/result notifications, and billing notices.
• Message frequency: recurring messages, frequency varies based on your appointments and ongoing care.
• Cost: Msg & data rates may apply, depending on your wireless plan.

5.2 How to opt in

You can opt in to text messages by:

• Submitting your number on a Total Vet web form or booking page,
• Providing verbal or written consent to a Total Vet team member at booking, or
• Texting a keyword or message to our number listed below.

5.3 HELP and STOP

• Reply HELP at any time to receive contact information and assistance, or contact us at hello@totalvet.org / (860) 321-8463. Sample reply you will receive: "Total Vet: For help, email hello@totalvet.org or call (860) 321-8463. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg & data rates may apply."
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out of future text messages. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed; no further messages will be sent unless you opt back in. Sample reply you will receive: "Total Vet: You have been unsubscribed and will not receive any more messages. Reply START to opt back in."

5.4 Carriers and delivery

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5.5 Privacy

Mobile information (mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in / consent data) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information collected exclude text-messaging opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Subcontractors that support our SMS program (such as our SMS provider) may receive mobile information only to the extent necessary to deliver the messages you requested, and are prohibited from using it for their own marketing. 6. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it to transmit harmful content. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by Altva Holdings LLC d/b/a Total Vet or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Educational content on the site is for general information only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altva Holdings LLC d/b/a Total Vet and its veterinarians, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the website. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the Service giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the website or Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
